This red ale was hopped in the kettle with Amarillo and Columbus and then dry hopped with the quintessential combo of Simcoe and Citra. The malt provides a base of whole grain bread and some slightly sweet honey notes. Even with the complex malt character, this is a beer where the hops are still meant to shine and a firm but balanced bitterness leads into classic notes of citrus and pine. The finish is dry and the hop flavours linger just long enough.
