FWD PILSNER

The first product we were given was the hop variety HBC 1176. Last week we released a Hazy IPA as a side by side test to our flagship IPA - Square Wheels. This week we're releasing a Pilsner. FWD Pils was also brewed with HBC 1176, albeit in a totally different capacity. This one was hopped exclusively with 1176, in the kettle and then as a "dip hop" addition where the beer was fermented on the hops. 
The result is wildly different than the IPA, but super tasty in it's own right. The IPA was super tropical, but in this Pilsner the hop gives more field berry, citrus and woody herbal notes. It's a flavourful and satisfying Pilsner that finishes crisp. It never ceases to amaze how a single ingredient can present itself so differently when used in different ways.
