Franconian kellerbiers are traditionally served from gravity casks, naturally carbonated, and often quite bitter with a noticeable malt character. This one is modelled after the beers of Knoblach, known for being bitter, malty, and infinitely drinkable.
Zwickel is a lightly hazy golden lager that’s unfiltered, with a fluffy white foam. It shows a noticeable citrus and spicy hop aroma, with notes of grape, red liquorice, pear, and marmalade coming from the yeast and malt. Dry and smooth on the palate, with a firm bitterness balanced by toasty, bready, rich malt character. Easy drinking, full-bodied, flavourful, and built to keep you coming back for another sip.
