Before there was Christmas, there was SATURNALIA. A festival of Saturn, the Roman god of time and agriculture, Saturnalia originated many traditions that were carried over into modern Christmas celebrations.
One such holdover from Saturnalia is the humble fruitcake, to which this beer is a festive homage. This is a style-defying blend of our REAPER Oatmeal Stout, MILLION DOLLAR SHAG Raspberry Saison, and THE LONGEST NIGHT Russian Imperial Triplebock, aged for over a year in a fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrel. A complex mélange of dried fruits and nut flavours, with a bit of tartness, subtle warming spices, and a deep oaken character.
8.5% ABV. May contain nuts.
